About Class 11 Science
Class 11 is the first year of Nepal's +2 (NEB) Science stream, and it lays the foundation for everything that follows in Class 12. Alongside compulsory English, Nepali and Social Studies, most students combine Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Computer Science, along with Mathematics. The syllabus introduces core concepts in mechanics, organic chemistry, cell biology and calculus that Class 12 builds on directly, so a strong grasp here makes the final year — and any entrance exam prep — noticeably easier.
NEB doesn't hold a board exam at the end of Class 11, which makes it tempting to treat lightly — but entrance exams for IOE, CEE (medical) and CSIT increasingly draw on Class 11 content, so it pays to keep pace. Use the chapter notes above to revise topic by topic as you're taught them, rather than saving everything for Class 12.
